Ecological Projects
ITERA is the General sponsor of a unique international ecological project "The Flight of Hope" aimed at preservation of strekhs, the white cranes listed in the Red Book . This rare species of cranes nests in the north of Western Siberia and Yakutia only. Native people of the North call sterkh a sacred bird.
The participants of the project "The Flight of Hope" are Sterkh Foundation, All-Russia Scientific and Research Institute for Environment Protection, the Oksk State Biospherical Reserve, Moscow State University, The International Crane Foundation (USA), crane farms in Belgium and Germany.
