President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov had a meeting with Igor Makarov, Itera Group Board of Directors Chairman on March 7, 2007 in Ashghabat.
The parties to the meeting focused on ITERA’s interest to expand co-operation with Turkmenistan, including implementation of new projects. Incidentally, the promise of oil and gas field development in Turkmenian sector of the Caspian and a few other joint business areas were discussed. It was also stated that ITERA had a long proven record of partnership with Turkmenistan, invariably fulfilling all obligations and agreements.
Having approved ITERA’s proposals in general, President of Turkmenistan issued instructions to discuss them in detail with the country’s government.
