Net profit of ITERA Oil and Gas Company went up 78.5% (Russian Accounting Standards) to Rub 951.212 million in the first quarter of 2007, if compared to the same period of the last year.
The growth of the net profit is attributed to increased gas sales price and a corresponding growth of sales proceeds from Rub 7.092 billion in the first quarter of 2006 to Rub 8.158 billion in the first quarter of 2007. At that, the cost of goods sold went up 4% only.
Thanks to it, the Company managed to increase its profit on sales up to Rub 1.28 billion in the first quarter of 2007. This is Rub 469.678 million higher than that of the previous year similar period.
