A solemn ceremony of placing in service of Borodianka, a new NGV-re-fuelling compressor station (NGVRCS) (Ukraine, Kiev region, Borodianka urban-type community), has taken place on July 6. This project has been implemented by ITERA UKRAINE, a fuel company within ITERA International Group of Companies. An owner of the first motor vehicle that called the station was presented a coupon for 300 cu meters of gas.
As Stephen Pleshinets, General Director of ÎÎÎ «TEK «ITERA UKRAINE», has stated, Borodianka will be the largest re-fuelling station of the kind in the region. This is the second re-fuelling station owned by the company in the Ukraine. The near-term plan includes commissioning of two more NGVRCSs in Novaya Kakhovka in Kherson Region and in Mena in Chernigov Region. ITERA UKRAINE plan for the future is to construct 20 more NGVRCSs.
Over 100 thousand compressed gas-fuelled motor vehicles are presently being operated in the Ukraine. Given the low price and ecological merits of this motor fuel, the number of such re-fuelling stations is constantly increasing.
