ENECO is an ITERA GROUP company. Its office is directly linked to the SCADA system at the power custody transfer point. The system was assembled at Serov Ferrous Alloys Plant (Serov town in the Sverdlovsk Region).
By introducing the remote server, ENECO specialists are able to control the volume and 36 parameters (active/reactive power, network frequency, voltage, phase etc.) to monitor the quality of electricity supplied to industrial enterprises in real time.
Sverdlovsk Energy and Gas Company, a JV of the regional Government and ENECO, supplies electricity from a wholesale market.
The project is funded by the All-Russia Bank for Regions Development. The project helped the Serov Ferrous Alloys Plant reduce expenses on electricity approximately by Rub. 1.5 – 2.0 million a month.
ENECO and Serov Ferrous Alloys Plant are currently working on the second stage of custody transfer point which is designed to meter other kinds of energy resources consumed by the plant.
It is expected that the economic crisis conditions would help expand the usage of similar projects by industrial enterprises and municipalities of the Sverdlovsk Region
