An official ceremony of commissioning the Senomanian gas reservoir of the Beregovoye field (the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) was held on April 19, 2007. 1.5 BCM of natural gas has been supplied into the gas transportation system of the Russian Federation during the year. The Beregovoye field contributed 7.6 BCM of natural gas to the gas balance of the country in 2008.
Sibneftegaz, an operator of the Beregovoye field, has supplied the total of 10 BCM of natural gas on March 21, 2009, - the Company’s press-release announced.
The plan for 2009 is to complete construction of the Senomanian gas accumulation in the Beregovoye field and to begin developing the underlying beds.
The Company is also developing the Pyreiny field. It is to be commissioned in the first half of 2009.
OJSC Sibneftegaz owns licenses to explore and develop Beregovoye field, Pyreiny field, Zapadno-Zapolyarny field and Khadyryakhinki field located in the Purovski Region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. The total natural gas reserves of the Company exceed 400 billion cu m.
OJSC Gazprombank, ITERA Oil and Gas Company, LLC, and OJSC Akron are the main shareholders of OJSC Sibneftegaz.
